Frog, chicken...whatever.

Two recent Emma-isms:

My 3.8-year-old was hacking away, to the point where I thought she was choking. When I asked her if she was alright, she answered, "Oh, I'm fine. I just have a frog in my mouth."

On another occasion, as she ascended up the stairs, she blew me a kiss, and I returned the gesture. Then, pretending to "catch" and "munch" my kiss (as she commonly does), she remarked to no one in particular, "Hmm. Tastes like chicken."

Ah, yes. They start young.

Here's a picture of her heading to church, wearing a dress that used to be mine as a girl. Yes, my mother and I have stored some girl clothes for that long!

Kids say the funniest things! Sean's latest: Farmer John cheese (to you and me, that's Parmesan). But I had to laugh - that dress can't be THAT old - you're a youngun yourself!!

Too funny! We've been having fun with animal sounds in German. For instance, German frogs don't croak, they qvack! Maybe she's feeling qvack-y!
