Kid tip of the day
If your toddler/young child starts to show signs of sickness such as runny nose, cough, sore throat, etc., immediately slice a fresh garlic clove into slivers and put it in their juice. It should quickly fend off whatever illness may have developed over the next few days. The slivers are easy to hide in a sippy cup, and are not usually detectable to the child who's most likely a bit congested anyway.
It's worked like a charm for us every time I remember to do it right away, and I know a handful of other moms in MOPS who swear by it, as well.
The added bonus: vampires will not come within yards of your child.

Tamber, it's all about MOPS! I knew fresh garlic was great for adults, but other moms have a wealth of info for little ones.
BTW, is today your anniversary? I know it's sometime around now, so happy anniversary to the two of you!
