A nearly perfect day

Yesterday, that is. My dad was in town, so I got to take a break in the morning while he played with the little urchins. (I use that term in an affectionate way.) I could've cleaned, worked on projects, read, or made phone calls, but instead I made the much wiser decision to crawl back into bed. Hey, you're not 8 months pregnant every day!

So after my two-hour nap, we fed the kids, played a little, and then it was time for their nap. They both slept at the same time for three hours---unheard of! I made marvelous use of that time by setting myself up in the kitchen that my precious husband had wonderfully cleaned the night before. I turned on Dave Ramsey's radio program, and did rubber stamping for part of my Christmas cards for 2 1/2 hours. And as if that's not fun enough, I had both chocolate and a Dr. Pepper within reach. Ahhh...bliss! I think I'm still smiling from the sheer happiness of it all.

Oh Stephanie, that DOES sound like a nearly perfect day! I could sure use a day like that.....if only I could get sweet Ethan to sleep for three hours (or even two)! Boy, the damage I could do around here! ;-) Hope you'll continue to be blessed with days like this! Love ya!

Stamping cards sounds like so much fun. Crafts, Dr. Pepper and chocolate! Just great! The best three things. How wonderful.

You're right, Granny. It's about as close as they come. I only hesitated to go the extra step in calling it perfect because it didn't end with a date with hubby and a massage or something like that. :)
