Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery

Here's a recent "dialog" that cracked me up:

Baby Garfield: Roars loudly

Emma: Roars loudly, as well

Me: "Emma, Garfield doesn't know any better yet, but we should probably not roar so loudly inside, ok?"

Emma: "But Mommy, I'm Garfield-tating him."

Me: "You're what?" (Hoping for a definition in her explanation.)

Emma: "I'm Garfield-tating him. You know how he always tries to do what I do and you tell me he's Emma-tating me? Well, I'm Garfield-tating him."

Ah, yes. The often-confusing world of a pre-reader!

All right, that is just precious! Ordinarily I would say "Write it down!" but you have, and a blog is a good way to immortalize some of those priceless moments :-)

I can't believe she said that! Too cute. You are going to have a hard time keeping up when you start school with her.
