So my little girl's growing up...
The Bedford Trio, ready to depart
We agreed to let Grandma Sam and Papa Del take Emma up to Bedford for almost a week on her own. It's her first time away from us, and we all wondered how she would do. Wouldn't you know it, she's been great...it's Mom and Dad we should've worried about! I sure do miss my sweet girl and my exceptional helper, but I know she's having a great time, and we'll go get her very soon.
On day 1 we received 5 phone calls from her, filled with repeated "I love you SO much, and I really miss you". On day 2 it was down to 3 calls, and today we only heard from her twice. We've heard all the highlights: eating Sonic ice cream with Oreos in it, gummi worms, and sighting an opposum at a distance close enough to be able to see "its cute face". Oh, and perhaps a little swimming. She also informed me that "lately" (as in the last 2 days), she's been skipping nap and just resting on the couch while watching a movie. Hmmm...anyone think she'll actually want to come back home with us?

Aww, this is such a cute entry! But what entry with Emma in it isn't? I love you, Steph! :)
Too cute!!!!
WOW! you are braver than I am, I would not have let her go! *sniff sniff*
We just left Grace for the fist time last week. It wasn't as traumatic as I thought it would be, and she was glad to see us when we got home- even better because she adores her Nana and Papa!
I promise to call and catch up soon. We dropped off the face of the earth the last 6 weeks with all we had going on. Hope you still remember who "Cathryn" is. :)
LOL! She sounds wonderful!
You are blessed. Grandparents like that are a rare gift.
