Oh where, oh where, has my pregnancy ticker gone?

You'd think I'd have been thrilled to remove it 9 days ago, but I'm afraid to say, my computer time is down to next-to-nothing. I can still read online, but inputing is going to be difficult for awhile. I used to have a tricky way of breastfeeding while at the computer, using the Boppy pillow to free up both hands, but I haven't ventured into that level of desperation yet. Soon, I'm sure.

My mother-in-law has been a lifesaver this week, doing basically all the caring for the older two while I spent my week (have we really already been home a week?) gazing at my newborn, learning her features and figuring out that she's a nonstop nurser. These are precious times with her that can never be relived, so I'm very grateful to have had the opportunity to do so. I think poor Grandma Sam must feel like she's being held hostage, but she's been very gracious about it, and even acts like she's enjoying herself! ;)

That said, she has to leave tomorrow afternoon, and there are no reinforcements in sight. Forecast for Tuesday: gloomy, and a bit dangerous, with a 90% chance of precipitation coming from Stephanie's eyes.

Grandma Sam, meeting her newest granddaughter

Grandmother Sylvia Elizabeth, loving on her baby girl

Everyone has to fight Grandfather off with a stick if they want to hold a baby--his reputation as a "baby hog" precedes him! (Not that he's a small swine, mind you, but rather, he likes to hog babies.)

Very proud big sister Emma, miraculously smiling a real smile for the camera!

Elizabeth may not have gone to church on her first Sunday out of the womb, but we caught her in this position nonetheless.

So much to be thankful for...

Oh, Stephanie. Those pictures are so precious. If you ever need help this summer (I know it's far away), you can call me anytime. I wish SA wasn't such a long drive from here, or I would definitely volunteer to come over whenever you'd like! Emma looks so beautiful. :) Thanks for thinking about all of your blog readers! :)

Funny you mention nursing in front of the computer...that has always been known as the "booby chair" in our house.
Over the years I have become waaaay too proficient at typing with one hand, either hand.
Doin' it right now...

I so loved the pictures. Everyone is so happy with the new baby. I too have learned to type with one hand while nursing although I will have to get back in practice when our new little one arrives. I especially love the last of Elizabeth.

I know it will be hard this next week - I will be praying for you! It is good that your little Emma is older too, she can be a lot of help! When I was 5,there were 5 kids in my family (I was the oldest daughter and middle child at the time), but my mom always tells me how much I helped. She would walk me through mixing up muffins, hold & comfort the baby (who only wanted me and mommy to hold her) and many other little & big things that could help her. Don't underestimate the help of the other children God has given you! Often they are just dying to do something to get mommy's praise!
